so i wanted so OC my ram and my CPU so i OC my 3570K to 3.8 GHz and my ram (corsair something) from 1600 to 1866 and it woudnt boot, any idea why? (i did this at the same time)

Maybe try overclocking only one thing at once. Overclocking RAM is a pointless exercise anyways.

i'll do 1 step at a time

Raise the timings, increase the voltage  and raise the memory speed. Just keep in mind that overcloking the memory might limit the overclock on the CPU. You might also need to tinker with the PLL voltage.  You won't really gain any performance increase, but RAM overclocking is a great way of learning about your computer.

^this.  Don't put them over 1.65 volts though. And like others said, it wont make a noticeable performance difference.  Keep in mind that the more you loosen your timings the slower the ram will be, despite being at a higher frequency.  Going from 1600 to 1866 mhz is a 16% increase in frequency but if you have to go from cl9 to cl10 your ram is 10% slower.  And you'll be generating more heat...

2000 9 11 11 28 2T 1.56v (also had to underclock cpu to 4.2ghz since at the time i decided to keep vtt voltage stock)

the ram im using corsair vengeance lp 1600mhz rams. Im using them on 1866 since 1.5v is perfectly fine for me but 2000mhz now requires for me to increase vtt and ram voltage to 1.6v
