Air cooling 5960x?

I just want to know if air cooling a 5960x is out of the question I don't want to Over clock. The air cooler I was looking at is the be quiet dark rock 3. Thanks Don't want to kill a 5960x lol

ram clearance is the issue with most air coolers, otherwise temperatures will be fine.

LPX is low profile, you should be fine, the dark rock pro 3 is a great air cooler, you can even oc without temp problems.

Air cooling is fine.  Even for a 5960X.

you won't kill it.  if you are not going to OC it then it's a bit of a waste getting it.  

Even a gentle 200-300mhz boost won't hurt your temps much at all on air.

Yes it will do the job just fine. I would check on BeQuiet website to make sure there are no compatibility issues with your Motherboard as some can interfere with the top pcie slot
