I would check the differences between the two and see if there's anything in there you need/want. For the vast majority of people, Home is enough, but things like native drive encryption and remote desktop may sway some over.

EDIT: Also, consider buying your license from somewhere like Reddit softwareswap, Kinguin, G2A etc. It's much, much cheaper than buying it retail.

Most differences are related to enterprise environments (like being able to join a domain) is that the Pro version has:

  • BitLocker (full disc encryption that you shouldn't use anyway if you're serious about security)
  • Group Policy management (can be useful if you want to do some more niche things)
  • Hyper-V, Microsoft's own hypervisor (used for creating virtual machines)
  • Can defer updates.
  • Remote desktop host.

If you aren't interested in those features then Home will serve you just fine.
