Right so shortly it will be 2017 where I will begin the process of fully upgrading my pc over a year, my first will be a case+psu, then gpu, then last but not least cpu, ram, motherboard then a custom watercooling loop.

Using current hardware available that can be scaled across newer hardware e.g 5930>6850k etc

I have a couple questions

1. Logical upgrade to an i7-3930k

2 . logical upgrade to a gtx 770 (want to get a 3440 1440 ultra wide and max most games out at 30/60+(i play gta locked to 30fps for several reasons)

3. What case should I get, I'm leaning  towards the phanteks evolv atx TG

4. Can I have a pump/res combo and a massive radiator externally (if I created an enclosure?) and have a rad internally?

5.nzxt hue+ or cable mod Rgb?

Many Thanks if you can help me :)

1. 6800k or 6850k

2. gtx 1080

3. Yes, definently that case

4. If the pump is strong enough to move that much liquid

5. NZXT Hue+ all the way

Would the EK xres 140 pump combo have enough power to do a 80mm 480 rad and a 40mm 360 rad? And say a meter of tubing total?

No just what I was wondering the what the logical upgrade for my needs are if you want to know my specs here they are

16gb 4*4 2400mhz c11 corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3

Asus P9X79 pro motherboard

250gb Samsung 850 EVO

1tb Seagate sshd(from a laptop)

500gb Seagate barracuda 7200rpm from an old computer

Gtx 770 HOF 2gb

Cx750m

And a shitty Aerocool full tower

I love the i7-3930K, its what we still run on one of our work editing machines

I think your MBD/CPU/RAM is all good

I would start thinking GPU immediately. You will get pretty much 100% performance increase (x2) is you get a GTX1070. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-770-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1070/2174vs3609

after that, I would do your case, cause you think its shite. PSU actually looks pretty good, so i'd hold off on that unless its falling apart.

then I would redo your CPU/MBD/RAM.

the logical upgrade would be:

i7-6800K

any X99 Motherboard you like the look of

16GB 2133/2400mhz RAM

so upgrade schedule would be:

GPU --> Case -- > MBD/CPU/RAM --> PSU --> storage (if you need it)

EDIT: this would be a good content-creation build. for purely gaming, a 6600K/6700K would do fine

I'm going gpu or case >case or GPU > psu > new cpu/mobo/ram by the end of 2017

i would vouch for that GPU first but as long as it gets done i'd be happy. Is your PSU failing?.

No I just want a new psu(fully modular) and custom cables because the case I'm getting is tempered glass both sides
