AMD has been working on driver fixes for these microstuttring issues for a while now and since this is only a single card you should not have those issues. and if you are concerned about Corssfire issues go watch this video from tek syndicate  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWnbEHMLRog

this video talks about the 7970 and the 280X.

and as for mantle there will be improvements but you will have to wait and see

and a 650W is more than enough.

Alright thanks for the info, so from what people told me i should go for the 7970, r9 280x for best bang for my buck.

Thanks everyone!

280x looks really good. But i only need to know about the micro stuttering and mantle. What will the performance increase be with mantle?

And the 650w is good for the 280x?

That powersupply would be great.  Too soon to tell what the performance increase would be, but honestly the performance on this card is so good anyways that it really isn't going to matter.  Before Mantle you are going to be pushing > 60 fps while maxed out in nearly every game (save Crysis 3) and after Mantle your performance will only be better.

Microstuttering isn't an issue.  Was for Crossfire, but that has since been addressed.

Great! Will probably order this card somewhere this week.

Will it bottleneck with any other hardware just to be sure?
