I sent a iPhone 6s that is cracked in for repair to a 3rd party repair service and they said they can't fix it because the phone has an aftermarket display on it and they need a $10,000 solderer to remove the glass from the non genuine display. I think this is bullshit can anyone verify that an aftermarket is soldered on to the glass.

This is absolutlely bullshit. I have fixed many phones, and never have i seen glass replacement. Usually, the entire screen assembly is replaced. Its simply a couple of screws to remove the screen.

I would have fixed it myself but this service is cheaper where they just replace the glass instead of the whole display. I think the seller just replaces the whole display and then fixed the genuine screen and sells it for more. If anyone can verify that aftermarket glass is not soldered to the LCD that would be great.
