Hey guys, i have an intel core i7 6700 cpu ( non-k ) and a coolermaster storm enforcer case. Is the coolermaster hyper 212 evo a good and reliable cpu fan ? I am thinking to change my stock cooler since it makes an annoying noise ( at least to me ). It is like your ears are ringing. Thanks in advance.

A 212 Evo will work but there are usually better alternatives available.

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

What case and ram do you have?

I can't shop it online but will ask the local store that i bought my Pc from about the availability of fans. My case is a coolermaster storm enforcer and 2 sticks of hyper x black fury ram. Regarding the budget, i don't want to spend more than 30-40$ on it but i would like to take some suggestions. Thank you.

Does your store have a website you can link us to?

The Hyper 212 EVO is a very good cooler. It has kept my overclocked i7-3770K nice and cool in the tropics of Thailand. You should be able to get in your budget. Even here in Thailand, where IT prices tend to be higher than most places, it is around $40 equivalent.

Yea my guess is that the fan will be around that price too. Thank you for the reply.

The fans are not available at the website. If you want post the suggested fans and i will check tomorrow what they have from the suggested fans.

I like the Corsair AF120 series fans. After the fan on my Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO died after 2 years. I replaced the fan that came with it with a Corsair AF120 with no loss of cooling efficiency. You can get them in a 2 pack for around $30-$40.

The decision will usually come down to pricing since there are so many good options available.

Anyway, some good ones include the Katana 4, Kotetsu, M9i, H7, C1, Aidos, Themis, any of BeQuiet! or Noctua's heatsinks.

Depending on pricing, any of these can be good alternatives to the usual 212 Evo or 212x.
