Do I need a 144 hertz moniter for gaming and productivity

I want to buy the Asus VG24 because it is the cheapest monitor for 144 hertz. But I do not like that it is a tn panel. Do I need the 144Hertz for gaming and productivity. I wish I could find a 144 herts 1ms response time and ips display thats under 300$

Nobody should ever advise that you buy a monitor with that high a refresh rate for productivity. Gaming is fine, given it's competitive and you're some next level CS:GO champion.

id say if you plan to game competitive fps then YES definitely! i have been playing in 144hz screen and will not game on 60hz
