overclocking i7 920?

I am a noob at overclocking never done it should get a new pc soon but my cpu always bottlenecks my gpu (ancient almoast forgotten) 

specs:

Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz (cooler master tx3 cooler)

GeForce GTX 770

BIOSTAR Group TPower X58

12gb ram

I looked up a few videos on how to do it and have a pretty good idea but im not sure about clock speeds etc..

Suggestions?

what stepping is your cpu? c0 or d0.

yeah is c0 it wont overclock that well and it will need a lot of volts :( you will need to start at 20x160 at 1.25v and see what happens.
