I overkilled on Ram, Storage, and GPU. But just because the budget allows it.
Feel free to choose another case / PSU / Hard Drive / OS as those are pure preference.

Yes

Mind clarifying whether or not you need a mouse/keyboard?

1. Budget & Location

U.S 1700$

2. Aim

Modern gaming and just general officework

3. Monitors

1 1080p needs to be included in budget

4. Peripherals

Already have what I want (not included in budget) and need os

5. Why are you upgrading?

This is my first build

Here you go: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1VqZi

This will max out almost everything at 1080p and should last 2-3 years before you'd want to upgrade the gpu or something along those lines.

Use the rest of the money on food or future upgrades or something. Maybe get a second display for easier multitasking.

He said he wanted intel. Lol :) AMD is good, but for Multithreaded programs. Which, new games are becoming.

I'd suggest more RAM personally. 8Gb is getting near the starting point. BF4 asks for a minimum of 6.

I'm not a fan of the Rosewill PSUs, unless this is a diamond in the rough i wouldn't suggest it.

All in all, nice choices Woody.

The Rosewill psu is actually pretty good. The Hive line is pretty nice in general.

If he must have Intel: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1Vr8x

8GB ram is plenty for gaming. It's not like BF4 recommends 16GB ram or anything.
