So this wasn't a problem with my old computer, I recently built a computer a few months ago (pcpartpicker link on profile) and now this problem has been going on for a few weeks. I haven't found a fix for it anywhere online, so I thought I would try here. I'm using a Logitech G430 headset. If I'm playing a game, objects on my left will randomly start to sound like they're coming from the right and vice versa. This can happen after a few seconds of gameplay or a few minutes. This isn't a problem with the game as even when doing the surround sound test on the Logitech Gaming Software, the "This is the right channel" sound comes out of the left headphone. I've reinstalled the Logitech Gaming Software, I've reinstalled Realtek HD Audio, I've made sure the firmware is up to date, I've tried on USB 3.0, 2.0, through a usb hub, straight into the mobo, etc. Nothing seems to fix it permanently. Unplugging and plugging back in the headphones fixes the issue temporarily, but after a few minutes the issue starts happening again. Any thoughts?

My younger brother had the same issue. It's purely a fault of the Logitech G430 headset. It's cheap, both in quality and in price, and I'd recommend upgrading to a pair of Kingston HyperX Cloud's.

Well that's a relief, I'm upgrading my headset for Christmas anyway. Glad to know it won't affect the new headset, thank you! :)
