How do you find the lack of apps?

I haven't found it to be a big issue actually.  The only app I used to regularly use that it would really be nice to have is Discord, and then a variety of games but since the hardware in this can't compare to the shield tablet in terms of gaming performance anyway, having those "apps" (games) available wouldn't be of any use anyway so it's a non-issue.

Planning to buy the Surface phone?

I doubt there will ever be one, and I'm not planning to upgrade again anytime soon.  Honestly, the allure of this was that it could replace my 8 year old non-smart phone for $99 :D

I like the idea of Windows Phone, but it's eBay app is lacking and my bank doesn't support it either.

I can do the banking via browser, but not eBay.

Everyone has their own things they need to be able to do and if you can't with it, then you know right then it's not for you.

In general, I'm quite enjoying the experience.  Without going into a full long review of all the little things that make it nice, I'll just say that android would irritate me on a regular basis, while Windows Phone has not yet done that.  And interestingly, I've found that Google stuff integrates into Windows Phone better than Microsoft stuff ever integrated into Android.  I'm talking about system-wide accounts and use of services, like using a gmail address with the Outlook client or signing into Office for Android.

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Right now I have a Nexus 5x, which I might be switching out for a G4, and a Note5 which I'm in the process of selling.

If I were you I'd definitely wait, this would be the worst time of year to buy a new phone.

CES is in early January, and MWC is in March. That's when you'll see the new phones come out.

Plus Nokia's coming back! Very excited. I hope they bring out a couple of really beastly phones.

I almost bought that one on Black Friday! But I missed the deal where they threw in the free headphones and a battery bank.

So it's not really worth it now.

They're not really that much more than a top tier Android phone, if at all.

They change quite a bit. They've added haptic feedback, fingerprint sensors, dual camera, a larger screen size, they're one of the few brands to actually have a 256GB model.

You're completely right about the customization though, that's my main reason for going Android.

You like the 5x? I hate it. The only good thing about it, I find, are the fast updates.

Don't go LG if you value battery life.

So..much..want..

I love the 5x, especially the battery life. I get 1day with full brightness and I can push 2 at 0 with adaptive

idk

Who said you were allowed here Ryan? I've got sticks! And I have the HTC one m8 that I charge everyday. It eats batteries. Everything runs at one hundred percent. I wasn't planning on buying a phone like now though. I usually wait for a bit when companies calm down and I buy one then.
