I have had this before, among many other installer erros

its to do with the old windows install locking some file permissions, which is fine when you format it, but when you try to overwrite something "supposedly" formatted its actually not formatted.

there are 2 solutions

1. Take the hard drive out, put in another pc (YOU MUST UNPLUG ALL OTHER DRIVES from this other pc) not only to be safe but it straight up will go wrong with 2 drives connected. then install it onto your drive from other pc, During the install WINDOWS WILL REBOOT "to finish installation". The second the reboot timer appears you want to press the power button of this other pc, hold it for 6 seconds (note you have 10s to turn it off) so you better keep your eye on it.then put the Hard drive back in your supposedly not working pc and turn it on.

2. Option 2 is some janky method I found which I will look for the youtube video i found. It involves making a windows install media, booting it, hitting shift f10, using CMD to make the hard drive your trying to install to become install media, copying windows installer files over, then unplugging usb, rebooting and installing to itself.

Its trippy as hell but I will try and find it.

EDIT; Found it

Watch the video from 3:28

Edit: Some small questions

A: do you know what ISO files are and how to make USB`s from them.

B: Do you have your windows key and the version it is for
