Custom PC power switch

Hello,

 

I am currently doing a  PC mod and I went out and bought a momentary push button.

but,

this switch has 2 NO, NC, C, and 1 set of + - pins. 

which do i solder to the cables that connect to the motherboard.

all I know is that the +- pins power the green light on the button.

Use the no pins as the power switch is normally open. Plug the light into the psu or the power led header

there was also little to no resistance between all the cables

Sounds like a borked switch.

The switch terminals are supposed to be open at all times while depressed.

I believe the C is for common, try to connect between one NO and the common.

Does the switch have an led inside? That's what the +/- pins are probably for. As for the NO NC and C contacts, I'd try to  connect the NO and C. Check continutiy with a multimeter to see which contacts pass current when the switch is depressed, then use those contacts.
