Do tablet sized monitors exist?

I'm looking for a second screen but not as big as my monitor, I'm really just look at having something small to my right the size of a tablet is really all I need. Is there anything like that out there?

If you need something of higher resolution, you'll have to step it up to a 13"-15" at least.

Well, you can use a tablet as a second monitor in some cases. 

 

And yes, they do make small (10"~) monitors, but afaik they're not cheap.

Yeah that's the thing to, I don't want it to be more expensive than a normal monitor either... that seems like a waste.

If you're not afraid of using ebay and a little DIY you can get a MiniDP to displayport adapter and use an iPad screen to make your own. The adapter boards can be had for around $80 and iPad 3 replacement screens for $75. ~$180 all in with shipping which is not bad for a 2048x1536 IPS LCD screen.
