What's the diff?

What's the difference between the 2 models of this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202223&ignorebbr=1 ? the 1306 and the 1342, is it just that? a smaller core clock? If yes is that 5$ worth that extra small clock or nah?

its only speed, and the 5$ isnt really worth it considering you can overclock it to that yourself.

Just get the cheaper one but get the 8 GB model. You can overclock it anyways so the extra MHz that you pay for wont matter.

I probably won't OC it tho because it has a bios switch that does it for you but yea that's what I said to myself though, and that's only like 28 MHz anyway.

There wont be a noticeable difference in games between the two. Just make sure you get the 8 GB model.

Yea but the 1342 is guaranteed to run at that speed and therefore probably have a slightly better silicon than the 1306 that didn't made it. 5$ is definitively worth better silicon

The extra 46MHz didn't help as much as I'd wanted it to, at least in the games I play. Only reason I have right now to switch to the 1352 profile is to melt some icebricks, which I rarely need to. Running at butt-stock 1306 is just fine for me. The 8 gigs is a godsend in Enderal/FO4/Skyrim though. Dem texture's big, yo.

models with extra vram tend to have more PCIe power connectors. the rx 480 8GB has 8 pin PCIe which helps with it's power usage issue compared to the 4GB version which only has 6 pin. This also helps with overclocking too.
