Random flickering black&white lines

Hi,

So I got a strange problem. I decided to oc my graphics card (Sapphire HD 7850 2GB D5).

I got to 1150 MHz Core Clock, 1295 MHz Memory Clock with +50% power limit at 1080 mV core Voltage.(I used msi afterburner, at stock it's 860 MHz core, 1200 MHz memory, +0% power limit at 1040 mV)

I've managed to run msi kombustor for more than an hour without any issues. But now my main monitor (I have 2 monitors hooked up to the HD7850) randomly gets this black&white lines.

(on the lower right it's the menu of the monitor, I opened it to check if the problem is with the monitor itself)

Last time this occured I managed to switch main monitor to the left (leaving the right unused) and this flickering moved to that monitor. (had to reset pc afterwards)

The first time this happened I was trying to open firefox, and that time closing firefox with alt-f4 stopped the problem but it has occured around 4 times since and nothing stopped it except resetting the whole pc.

 

I updated amd crimson but the issue still persists.

(My system: Core i5 2500k (no oc), 16gb of ram running at 1600MHz with Xmp enabled, 600W psu, Msi Z77A-G43 motherboard)

Have you tried going back to stock settings on the card?

un-do your overclock and see if that fixes it.

Thanks for the tip, will do.

Since it's not something constantly occuring I'll leave it at stock for two or three days.

If it fixes the problem does it mean that my card isn't capable of that oc despite the hour long stress test?
