read the post. i dont even have windows installed at all.

you have a hardware problem or you need to install drivers at install. Remove extra hardware that is not the bare minimum required to install

as expected it passed

cool. Next I would try at install, load USB drivers for your motherboard; if that cannot be done boot from a CD instead of USB.

bios updates?

Maybe but i dont think so. That would be the last thing I would try to do. I had a look at the BIOS updates for your motherboard; there was an update this year for new CPUs, your 6700 was released last year so I dont think it will be relevant to that update. There was a bios update to make the board compatable with a samsung SSD, which i also do not think is relevant. Theres a bunch of PCI related updates but that should not be relevant if you have tried booting without the GPU.

I think the USB drivers are to blame, that should be the easiest to download and load onto your installation disc.

try it but at install there are no GPU drivers loaded. it falls back to a low graphics mode.

GPU is not used during a graphical install, but it is still taking up memory and running.

idk
