Dear all,

I was wondering if you guys might be so kind to help me out here. I'm planning on building a new rig, one that preferably lasts 5 years or so.

I'd like to have an unlocked multiplier because I would want to experiment with overclocking in the future. But everything is up for discussion of course!

I'd also like to explore the avenue that is hackingtosh. Anyone aware of the hardware requirements?

I would really appreciate your input.

BTW: I'm from the Netherlands and the price sits around  €1886 atm (incl. taxes).

Please kindly point out any mistakes I might have made.

I would add on a 2TB hard drive because games now like to use all your drive space, otherwise the build is excellent.

Interestingly I recently used a computer with an SSD as only drive and could really notice boot time difference once an (although older) HDD was added to the system.(sata 600). I've read somewhere that it might be because of windows indexing the drive on boot. Fast boot time is paramount, did you ever experience such thing?

(I might have to mention that the OS was win7 enterprise and that this so called problem might have been resolved in win10)
