So when I checked my task manager, I saw this.

Based on my everyday use, this is not normal and this is my first time seeing this. I tried to do my own research about it. All it says that it has some connections to BSOD and some malware. I tried to do a full scan with my Anti - Virus (Avast & Malwarebytes) but both results are okay. So what could be causing this issue? It doesn't affect the performance of my PC but I'm just worried because this might be something big.

Thank You in Advance!

Perhaps something is running in the background. Try rebooting into safe mode and see if the disk does this as well.

Then it is likely a windows service such as update or super fetch or malware, the former is much more likely.

Try a different hardware monitor, and also try running Crystal Disk Info to check the health of the drive.

If you can't hear the drive and the light isn't on non-stop, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just still try Crystal Disk Info.

That depends on which conclusion it is. If it is as I suspect a windows service then there is nothing to be done.  If it is malware then your worry will relative to how much you care. It is almost definitely not malware, what malware would use 100% of anything alerting the user to its presence?

Well you have a point. But I really hope its just a Windows Service. In fact, my PC did finished installing updates earlier this morning. But its my fifth reboot of the PC with a huge time gap. I really hope.

Well your task man is showing a ~2MB/s which is nothing. I would just see if it goes away.

Avast isn't a legitimate antivirus program. You should download Norton and scan with that. I would also suggest downloading Spybot Search and Destroy and running that.

W10 does use a lot of hard drive resources, but one of the issues you could be having is start up programs. Safemode doesn't start up all of these programs.

So it's just a harmless bug? Lmao. It's kind of annoying. Microsoft should fix this. Fast.
