Hello,

Little story for backround, I really dont have much time to play, but after work I like to play a few ours a game or two.

My rig

I5 4690k, z97x gaming 3 Gigabyte MOBO,

And now is the question about gpu.

Games I only play and wont even play smth other:

Witcher 3

Fallout 4

Path of Exile

Starwars Battlefront

7days to die

Maybe will get back into Metro series and Shadow of Mordor.

So the question is:

I got my gtx 960 4gb, I really want to test out the sli so thinkin about getting another one if will find a good deal.I saw that in witcher 3 sli of 960 performs better than single 970, not sure about other games. Im playing only 1080p.

Why I even thinkin about 960 sli because it permormance is better in witcher 3 that means alot for me and I really want to try the sli.But im still thinkin is it still good, all the tests pretty old mby with new drivers it got worse. What is your opinion. Please dont suggest cards from red team only asking about the two choices.

Spending more money on a 960 would be a waste.. You can get so much more performance out of a single card thats half the cost

Get a single card that is better; if their is SLI scaling issues you will litterally be wasting money.

I'd just stick with the single 960 (although SLI would look gr8 AF) but the scaling just isn't worth it. Get a single 1060 if you wanna upgrade, it's always best to get a single card due to some games not utilizing SLI. :)

I know I was looking for a 1060 is twice as much as for 960 4gb, the performance of SLI 960 is better than 970 especially in Witcher 3.

I tried looking for 970 still the price is only about 30-40 euros cheaper if I sold my 960 somehow. And I can't wait for a Vega for pascal to drop prices, I will have Christmas few free days so want to get everything from that days, and want to upgrade before that.

So, you really, really wanna upgrade? Then your best bet is SLI but as I stated earlier, SL just isn't worth it. :(

Yeah the problems is I must upgrade in a week or so, 970 is still a choose but depending on performance in witcher 3 I prefer SLI of 960 4gb, but now people says its not worth it at all, I looked for a AMD card (I dnt want it but still...) but prices ar  awful in my country, also looked at 980 a good choice I think, still price is like 120 eurs higher, than getting second 960 :/

If you think about it, getting a single, more powerful card like the GTX 970 would do you good in the future, as you will be able to SLI with a more powerful card and have 2 GTX 970s instead of 2 GTX 960s. It's all personal preference; are you willing to purchase 1 GTX 970 now and get another in the future? If not, then another GTX 960 and putting them both in SLI will suffice. However, if you're okay with it, just don't upgrade at all. Save a little more and probably get a GTX 1070 next year and you'll get wayyy more performance than 2 GTX 970s! Your call. :)

Yes Im thinking about saving cash to get 1070, but, I want to upgrade for a Christmas will get few free days from a job so want to max everything max and just relax. Yes 960 working fine with me, but I like to mod my games and then fps drops to the 40-50 even on medium settings in Witcher 3.

just get the cheapest 1060(6gb)  you can find. Better performance than gtx  980 and much more efficient.
