Is a i7-960 worth getting, already have i7-920

I already have a i7-920 in a LGA-1366 overclockable motherboard. Is it worth it to upgrade to a i7-960 for $50(CAD) which is $35(USD)

What about getting a Xeon X56xx chip over the 920?

No.... X5650 or X5675.

Yeah thats what I thought Dune. Thx

I could probably snag a Xeon for the same price, X5675.

ASUS P6T original 1st edition board, not the Deluxe or anything.

LGA-1366

Even the X5650 is better then the i7-920. I just notice how much slower the clock speed is on the 920 thats why i went looking

Plenty of guys running that board on OCN, I would check out http://www.overclock.net/t/1489955/official-x58-xeon-club/10150 if you need to ask any specific questions when you get around to OCing it. That's the place to go for the Xeon overclocking.

Thx - In the meantime I will keep looking for a good deal on a Xeon CPU.

Yeah these Xeons are beast too even now days. They only slightly hamper a modern top tier GPU. I had an X5675 paired with a 980Ti for awhile before flipping that build and it could push 80fps in surround (75% of 4k) in GTA 5 Online. It's about like gaming on a 5820k that isn't overclocked if you have it running at 4.3GHz.
