It's just going to run as fast as any other slightly OC'd 7970 Ghz. The extra 3GB of GDDR5 may help in a few games, but in most there won't be much of a difference (not worth the extra cost anyway), even with a 2560x1440 monitor. This card is meant for Eyefinity setups.

Get two MSI 7970 Lihtnings, 2 Sapphire 7970 Ghz edition 3GB vapor-x or 2 7970 HIS X Turbo, they're awesome cards.

The Sapphire 7970 3GB vapor-x is identical to the 6GB version just with less RAM, you won't need 6GB for 2560x1440.

You'll max out everything on 2560x1440 .

By the way MSI is releasing a new 7970 lightning very soon with a massive overclock on it of 1150 Mhz.

If you don't want to wait for the new lightning just get the Sapphire vapor-x it's just as good as the lightning.

nices whens that comeing out

Should be available on newegg in a couple of weeks.

The new MSI gamer series is basically the same old stuff with red accents on it & a couple of useless LAN features.

Both monitors are very similar, I believe yours is better though.

I don't recommend running 3 graphics cards together, scaling isn't very good with more than two cards, besides you should leave some room for the cards to breath and to install a good quality sound card.

Well that depends largely on the game & how well crossfire is implemented in it.

But generally speaking more cards in crossfire result in lower scaling rates.
