I heard that pascal cards can usually do +400~500Hz on memory clock, and I have seen even higher numbers. However, my 1070 crushed instantly in benchmarks when setting memory clock +150. (I only get stable result with +100 on both core clock and memory clock)

I know this probably won't make that much of a difference in my gaming experience, but I am just wondering if this is normal or there are some problems with my card.:(

There are issues reported that if you have a card with Micron memory ( you can check this from for example GPU-Z) that the card might be unstable even at stock frequencies.

First link from google about the issue:

And the other thing is, it boils down to silicon lottery, even though many can get lets say 2050-2200MHz core with their 1070 and 1080 cards miine becomes unstable at 2037. But then I can push my cards memory up to +600 without instabilities.

Check your memory. But other than that, even if it's Micron, that doesn't warrant any RMA process because the card is working with stock frequencies and that's all the manufacturer essentially promised.
