Original Post/Background:

Update: I'm at a loss! I try to boot in both UEFI and Legacy with the CD Drive and neither works. Each time I get the "Windows is Loading Files" screen, then the windows logo, at which point it crashes. I can't imagine that there's anything wrong with the CD, as it's literally impossible to change its contents and they were working last time I checked (can someone let me know what the contents of a boot dvd/usb are supposed to look like?). And this is with my hard drive completely disconnected, so there's no chance of it booting a windows 7 with the wrong drivers... What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for the help!
