Screen flickering

Yeah, so I built up a new pc and everything and just installed a 1050 ti with my setup....but every time I try to play games ( like shadow of mordor or tomb raider), my screen flickers and goes black for some time ...i even tried to lock the graphics to 30 fps, but the issue still persists. I haven't tried another monitor. The one that I am using is old ( Philips 192el2 which supports DVI-D)

Have you installed the latest drivers from the Nvidia website?
