Apologies if this has already been suggested.

When a post is marked solved the original poster, I recommend that it is removed from the recent topics sidebar, and that it is marked green, or has a checkmark next to it so other people with the same problem can know what to click on, and so people who want to help don't waste time on threads that were already solved.

You know that just marking something solved doesn't always mean it really is solved. I think something like this has been suggested by other Recent snipers. But since the listing already moves older threads down and really few (I would assume) thread get marked as solved with the first few replies, does it really take so much of your time to open them and close when you note that its been solved?
