For some reason my aunt's PC is painfully slow. Everything in it is new, appart the hard drive, which I think is faulty.

On "BIOS" (UEFI menu) runs fine, but when booting windows gets the slowness.

Earlier on I gor a blue screen complaining about the HDD not being bootable.

I tried connecting a USB pen I carry with me with the installation for windows, and even inside it gets painfully slow. Could it be tied to the hard drive or can there be some other culprit. (I do not have any spare parts to test here).

Thanks in advance.

Seems like the hard drive for sure. Try using CrystalDiskInfo just to make sure.
