Hell folks, I'm building my first computer right now, it's been super seamless but I just went to install my H7 and hit a snag. I'm following the instructions included with the H7 and it instructs me to push the mounting screw through the back of the mobo. The mobo lines up with the H7 mounting plate but when I go to push the screws through they don't go through the MOBO. There is a little ridged bit on the screw that seems to big, the first section goes in fine though. I looked at installation guides and none of them addressed this problem. Did I do something wrong with picking the components? Should I use more force?

I'm using an MSI Z170A SLI board.

Any and all advice is appreciated!

MORE FORCE!

(Joking)

You could watch a tutorial on how to install them on 1151.

It should be straight forward, but when you feel like you are about to break something its smart to look it up :P

I watched a couple, their screws just dropped right through... :/
