Hi, I want to learn how to graphic design. My laptop is not power enough. What is the basics necessities in a computer that you need for programs like adobe, cinema 4d, maya, etc......

i don't want anything fancy just something that will do the job. side questions: Is a graphics card a must? What cpu should i get? etc....

What level of graphic design? Also what laptop do uu have right now

Cinema 4d, Maya, Blender, 3ds Max - More intensive

Illustrator, Photoshop other Adobes - Less intensive

 

If you are a student, see if you can get a copy of adobe for free

Otherwise Gimp is a great tool and only costs free.99

 

There are tons of tutorials on youtube and other sites like Lynda.com or Codeacademy (I think)

You don't need a gpu but it helps with rendering of 3d objects. If you can live with longer render times any Intel CPU in the i5 range of the last 3 years will be plenty. I'd go for a i5 instead of a i3 though. If you budget is pretty strict look for used hardware.
