Which game, what settings/res in game, what settings for recording. Have you monitored CPU/GPU/RAM usage while recording?

Specs ? Maybe your rig is not powerful enough for recording.

Try changing the settings a bit, though you might have to lower the quality.

Also, try OBS for recording, I think that's more "performance-friendly".
