Which One Would Perform Better

What setup setup perform better assuming everything else in the system was the same.

Zotac gtx 1060 intel i5 4460 or asus gtx 970 intel i5 6500.

Get the i5 6500 and a GTX 1060 6GB.

perform in which use case? Gaming wise the 1060 rig, multithreaded workload wise the 6500 rig.

maybe the highest cpu demanding games the skylake build will do a bit better, not sure tho, 1060 is equal or better than a gtx 980 and 1060 has 6 gb ram so... heh 1060
