I need more than two CHA_FAN

I have 3 fan connectors (3 pin) that to needs to go in CHA_FAN (4 pin) but i only have two. I know you can put in the 3 pin into the 4 pin but what will happen? Also what can i do to connect my 3 fans with only 2 CHA_FAN? My mobo is x99-a2 and the 3 fans are the fans in front of the corsair 460x rgb case.

What does the PWM do exactly?

It provides better control for a fan than 3-pin does.

As for your problem, look for a case fan splitter. It will let you connect 2 fans to a single motherboard connector.

Things like this do the job.  I actually use one on the H60 in my HTPC, because it was only designed as a single fan cooler but I added a second fan anyway. :P  This way both fans are controlled in tandem.
