Whats up everyone, I'm just extremely lazy to install a water cooled loop in my build, so i was wondering if anyone could suggest an air cooler that will actually fit my build. One with room for little bit of overclocking.

Maximus Imapct

Vengeance Pro Ram (low profile ram is not an option)

4770K

Define R4 mid tower

My bios temps range from 23-45 degrees ambient is probably around 20-25 degrees.

I will be doing some heavy video editing/rendering as well as gaming. I've heard good things about the hyper 212, but will it get the job done, the bequiet! dark rock 2 also hinders some curiosity. I just need to know if I have clearance for these coolers, can anyone suggest a cooler that will be good in my rig. I also plan to change all fans to a noctua's down the road :)

Thanks in advance :D

Hyper 212 will work fine unless you want some crazy overclocks which you won't get on Haswell without delidding anyways

Lol, you went with the impact in the R4 haha. Anyway, do you care about color scheme? Budget?

Hyper 212 Evo!

Do you think it will fit cause my ram is not low profile, and how does it perform under stress?

P.S I will eventually water cool when I crossfire my 280x with another 280x and get a new mobo (but that project is on hold)

How long till you go watercooling? You can place the fan on the other side in pull on the hyper 212 that way it wont interfere with the ram for sure. But if you want a badass looking cpu cooler: CM V8 is awesome and works with high ram. But if you don't care to much about high OC for now, get the hyper 212.

I'll go back to water cooling around summer time and I think I'll order up a hyper 212 thanks so much for the help :D

If you can grab a CM Sickleflow 120mm fan and place that one the Hyper 212. It's slightly better and looks great. It won't OC into the massive numbers, but it should give you a decent oc.

Well, if you plan on swapping out all your fans for Noctua fans, then I why not go with a Noctua heatsink, lol?

Noctua NH - D14 (keeps my 4.2GHz i5 while gaming up under 45°C; 24°C ambient) or you could also go for the NH - U14S or the 12S

All of them are going to fit into the case and fit with the Vengence Pro RAM :)
