where is the bios located?

i wanted to make a new pc soon and i bought this ssd for it. well i put it into my old laptop to use and i forgot i was going to use it for the new build. i preformed a bios update so i'm not sure if i can use this ssd or will i have to wipe it? please help

BIOS update is stored on the motherboard. Has nothing to do with your storage drives.

The BIOS is stored on a little chip, usually near the motherboard battery.
