VG248QE or something newer?

MxZeal

The monitor is almost two years old and it will cost me $400 in CAD is it still worth it to buy this monitor or should i get something newer for the same price or possibly cheaper?

1080P 144Hz Is what I'm looking for.

Is paying the extra 100-200$ Worth it for 1080p 144HZ displays?

I see some 1080p 144HZ aslow ass 200$ and some as high as 600$ with no real added features other than freesync (which i can't use)

The ViewSonic XG2401 is a newer option around the same price.

I own the VG248QE and love it, I'm actually planning on picking up a second one sometime soon. It's a great monitor, but when you first get it it needs a lot of color setting adjustments.

hey,

I`m owning the VG248QE aswell but I'm having a hard time get the right color adjustment. May you share your settings? I even tried using the ICC profile from several websites (http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htm and https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/asus-vg248qe/), but I'm not happy with them.

Sure! My settings are very similar to what "Herschel Mandelbaum" posted on this Tom's hardware forum.

The only major difference I have from these settings is that my user mode color settings are R - 96 G - 94 and B - 88. I hope this helps!
