Hi currently I have a 2600k @ 4.5ghz + 970 GTX and a 1080p 27inch monitor witch I'm going to pass on to my kids for Xmas cause they want a Pc and.. I'm think in getting a 6800k + Noctua NH-15S with a 1080 gtx my intension is to do a 4.0 4.2 Oc on it and hope it gives me the same lifespan the 2600k[what a hell of a CPU] 4 5 years about the monitor I want to upgrade thinking on a PG279Q or something similar or.. just go crazy and invest on a PG348Q its a rly big investment but I don't plan to change anything on this rig for at least 4 5 years..

Thanks

Well I have the predator x34 : it's super cool, but you have to be willing so spend some time in some games that wont accept 21:9 natively, or just sometimes have it be a 27" 16:9 with black bars on the side.

I guess you should go with it if you don't plan on changing anything soon

I play WoW, CS, Overwatch, SC2, Doom, some more RTS, FPS, do u notice the change from 60hz to 100hz? I can also get a 27 inch 1440p just dunno what to choose rly

You will see a huge change from 60hz to 100hz, and honestly a 6700k would be fine for gaming for the next 4-5 years, 4 cores 8 threads is overkill right now anyway

I didn't notice any major diference honestly, when >60FPS it seems really fluid to me, but you might feel it differently.

Just look beforehand that the game you play can run in a 21:9 aspect ratio (i'm not that sure about sc2, but i managed to run D3 so it might work) because the immersion is awesome

there is an application called flawless widescreen that will run basically any game in 21:9 without any problems

Thanks a lot for the Help ill see if I can get a deal in the U.K. for the 34 inch , the reason I am a bit apprehensive to get the 6700k its cause I already have 4/8 with the 2600k and I have the feeling more games are going to use multicore in the next years to come, I also checked the predator x34 vs the ASUS PG279Q but ASUS gives you 3 year warranty acer 2 years think its better the 3 year don't know, I just hope I'm lucky with the screen.

Thanks a lot for the help
