Sennheiser PC series question

Hey guys,

I have already got a pair of sennheiser PC350s bought for about 3-4 years ago, now they are starting to degrade, with the microphone stopping to work, and the padding coming apart and leaving small chunks of the coating everywhere.

My setup is an ASUS Xonar DGX - the one with the headphone amplifier.

My question is: Should I buy the PC 350SEs or buy a new pair of PC 350s?

The main problem that I have with the PC 350SEs is that the heaphone frequency only is 50 Hz - 16000 Hz, with the PC 350s being 10Hz – 26000 Hz

Also I prefer the closed ear cups, any recommendations?

EDIT:

I have been looking at the sennheiser PC 363Ds. Does anyone have any experience with how loud open ons are against closed ones?

Also my budget is not limited.

Just want to let you know it's possible to purchase replacement ear pads.

Secondly, I can't find any reference to a PC 360 SE. Do you mean the PC 350 SE?

Thirdly, the PC 360 has a frequency range of 15-28000 Hz.

Lastly, Can you clarify what you mean by "how loud open ons are against closed ones?"? Closed headphones block out outside noises and prevent people around you from hearing what's being played through your headphones. In contrast, open headphones allow you to hear what's going on around you, and allow people to better hear what you're listening to in your headphones.

363d just have a usb sound card, that the 360's don't.

and open/closed doesn't affect the volume.

Will work for electronic components and parts

put your pc350's on with a normal listening volume, and set them on a table. The 360's won't be much different.

Will work for electronic components and parts

if you plan to use your xonar card, go with the 360's, the 363d have a usb sound card bypassing your xonar.
