Does the OC socket on Asus X99 boards kill CPU's?

How many of you have had their cpu's fried due to asus x99 boards?

I thought this issue had been taken care of but both me and my friend had our 6800k killed a couple of weeks ago.

retailer only replaced the CPU but sent the asus x99 strix gaming back.

now I'm just waiting for the new one to die as well.

my guess is that the issue lays with in asus OC socket teqnologi.

But I have been in contact with Asus and they say there is no known issue with their boards.

You are probably pumping waaay too many volts into those CPU's.

I would say it is voltage as well, don't put more than 1.35 volts into it, do 1.3 if you can just to be really safe.

Im pumping 1.325V on my mobo.

Im getting reasonable temps and high speeds.

TBH, i have watercooled my mobo aswell as CPU and GPU

I had My CPU running at 4,4ghz and used asus ai suite software to fond a stable clock speed. maybe it gives to much volt i'm not sure, but i doubt it.

My friend only had the X.m.p turned on but no OC for say and yet still it was killed.

I'm ok up to 1.45v but normally 1.4. I had a board once that would increase voltage on its own before. I would set 1.4 and it pit 1.55 but usually asus is good so idk.
