Long Distance Displayport cable

Hello All, 

 

So i am wanting to put my computer in the cupboard down the hall and wanting to push around 10m to 15m in distance. Anyone know if i can just get a long cable. I see online that max distance is 5m but nothing about extensions and such.  has anyone ever tried just hooking a lot of cables together. I want to use 4k at 60fps Cheers

10M is (just) doable ... you drop total effective bandwidth

Well here is the thing. i want to put all the ports in the wall and hook up from there. Dont want to convert it to usb and back to plug it into the monitor.

You need something called an Active DisplayPort cable for long distances. They're pretty expensive.
