Downgrade Win10 Edition

Hi everyone, i have a problem. My friend gave me a pro product key of windows so i used it and upgrades from home to pro successfully. But then when I restarted my laptop, it says it is not activated. So I called my friend and says it was just a prank(OMG i almost killed him). The good thing is I dont have any important files in this device so I plan to reinstall it back to win10 home again. So now my question is how?

there is a workaround, but it only works if there is lower edition to the one you want to down grade to. the way it works is uo trick the system into thinking you have a lower version, and use the upgrade feature to get it to the one you want. does that make sense?

The is no difference between the code of win 10 pro vs home, so just put a home key in if you want home.

I've already tried that. Used my OEMs Product Key but it displays an error saying i can't use it.

I haven' backed up before upgrading... That's my mistake, trusting someone so much. lmao

Can it be done? Will it go back to Win10 Home? This is what I am doing right now. But it didn't let me choose what edition to install. Hope it detects the OEM PK as a Home PK and installs Home.

If you reinstall, just give it the home key.
