In 2011, Watson was comprised of 10 racks of IBM POWER 750 servers running Linux. Which held a total of 15 terabytes of RAM and 2,880 cores. With this hardware, it defeated Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter, the most decorated Jeopardy champions. Apparently it took 20 top IBM engineers, $18 million dollars in labor and only $1 million in equipment to spawn a Watson.

 

Anyone heard anything of Watson recently? I image he is hardcore AI now.

That scary movie stuff is something Watson could probably induce heart attacks on command. I don't want it storing information about human fears. That is.. fearful...
