GPU Upgrade - Advise

ssm14293

Hi

I want to upgrade my GPU... it currently is a GT 710 and the prices of GPUs in my country is the worst. Let me give you a price list of 200USD bracket GPUs.

  1. ASUS Dual-fan Radeon RX 460 2GB OC Edition AMD Gaming Graphics Card (DUAL-RX460-O2G) - PKR 16,000 (USD 152.50)
  2. Gigabyte GV-RX460WF2OC-4GD Radeon™ RX460 WINDFORCE OC 4G Video Graphics Card - PKR 17,000 (USD 166.79)
  3. Gigabyte GV-N105TWF2OC-4GD GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4GB Video Graphics Card - PKR 21,800 (USD 207.28)

Where as pricing in USD is way less. I cant import as the customs office tends to stops packages to get some extra cash on such item #iykwim

To get you an idea of how our currency works, the average salary of an entry level job is between 10,000 to 15,000 per month. So it is still very expensive.

Now to my main question, should I buy the option 2? will it be able to compete well for my regular use which includes:

  1. Average gaming
    1. Paladins
    2. PayDay 2
    3. Assassin Creed
    4. some other games
  2. Video Editing
  3. Learning AI and implementing, etc

If rx460 can do these thing for me with ease for the next few years i would buy that, or should i wait and save more to get 1050ti?

Regards

ASUS Dual-fan Radeon RX 480 4GB OC Edition AMD Gaming Graphics Card (DUAL-RX480-O4G) is PKR 28,000. Couple more thousand bucks is more like it. Took me nearly a year to save enough for this, I pay my own college fees and stuff so yeah...

Thanks. I wish Linus did a lineup of these cards... like rx 460 vs 1050 vs 1050ti to show raw performance...

Plus prices here don't fall on holidays -.-'

There is a huge difference of price between rx 460 and 480 in Pakistan.
rx 460 is for $185 and rx 480 is for $290.

Yup they are reliable.
Also make sure you are not running a core2duo, as majority of PC Users in Pakistan are still running core2duo with 8800GT range PCs

470 is like 2000 less then 480 so that also way out of the budget.

BTW what should i update first? cpu or gpu?
