Skype hackarino?

So 5 mins ago, I went onto skype as I had a few notifications and came to this:

With that being spammed to everyone on my skype. 

As you can see it happened 4 days ago where I lost access to my skype account (but not my linked hotmail account) and on Thursday, I changed the password for my Skype/hotmail account as skype on my computer was bugging me.

 

I've scanned my system with Malware bytes and Kaspersky and nothing showed up. The interesting thing about this is how I reinstalled my windows less than a month ago so there should be less dodgy downloads on my computer so was it just a brute force PW hack or is my computer infected with something?

A lot of people have reported this as well, and I've been a victim of this even though my skype account is linked to a hotmail account so it smells like MS has been hacked and all the account passwords have been leaked (which makes me wonder what kind of encryption they're using that was easy enough for these hackers to break) and they aren't admitting it.
