Hey guys, just got my fresh rig :D

Ive OC'd my 6700k to 4.5ghz on 1.255v, is it safe and if yes could i push it further?

After an hour of surfing the web Im at 38 degrees celsius.

Could I also know the recommended max on voltage as Ive read up online and some people are saying as far as 1.45v :o

Thanks!

You don't want the temperature when surfing in the web...

Get Intel Burn test and test that cpu the real way.

Its fine I'd throw 4.7 @1.35v in and if its stable call it done ✅ but if your worried just bump it up bit by bit ?

Also you need to stress test it. Aida64 is good enough

The max voltage is a bit of a controversial topic I think. I personally have my 6700K @ 1.392v, most people would consider that really high, but that is the only way it gets stable @ ~4.7 Ghz. I run that voltage 24/7 since 1 year, never had problems with it. I am using a H115i for cooling, max temp under load is 76 degrees C. Just watch your temps, I would not go over 1.4v for 24/7, but as long as you dont reach mor than 80 C under load, it should be just fine. If you decide to use extra voltage on your CPU, it looks like u could get +100-200 Mhz out of your 6700k, I think it is worth the extra heat-output.

Main Rig: EK custom loop |2700x @ 4.25 Ghz| Msi X470 Gaming Plus | 32gb DDR4 | Aorus GTX 1080ti @ 2088 Mhz | TT Core X71 TG | Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500gb + 256gb Toshiba NVMe + 275GB Crucial m.2

I agree I run my 6100 @1.52v for 4.6ghz temps are abit high but low for that voltage since few cores. Regardless it still runs perfect still.
