i bought some cheap converters from china which work for charging the device but does not synchronize. the converters i have a 30 pin to 8 pin, micro usb to 30 pin and a micro usb to 8 pin. i bought a cable with 8 pin on it made by insignia which works. i reset my ipod touch and now its asking for the cable to be plugged in for itunes. i do have an itunes account but my converters do not recognize or sync. i fucked up with the purchase because the ipod touch is the same size as my 5" mobile phone so i will have to see what watching the video is like. it still may be a good purchase at $10.

those wires from china are shit. I had a 30pin apple charger to a 3.5mm jack and it didnt play music. IT IS RUBBISH. buy quality items pls

they charge just fine, thats all they do. from my googling just now they do not have the microchip in them i can only assume right but i thought them china men figured it out. if i buy a china 8 pin to 30 pin will it work on my insignia 8 pin usb cable i bought for $20 from bestbuy
