TF2 Mouse sensitivity problem

So, when I first downloaded TF2, it was slow. So I downloaded TF2Mate, a file that increases my FPS while at the same time it gives me bad graphics. And so, that's how I played TF2 for a months. No problem with the mouse sensitivity whatsoever.

But then after that, I got sick of the crappy graphics, so I tried resetting TF2 to it's default form. The graphics were much much better quality and the FPS was good at the same time, and so that's how I played. I had no problems with it, except for the mouse sensitivity in-game, which ruined my aim and balance.

So I tried to adjust the mouse sensitivity so it would be more comfortable for me. However, I sadly couldn't achieve that. Every time I try new sensitivities, trying to match my comfort, it just won't work. And now, I can't even play the dang game without missing every single shot.

I tried matching the sensitivity amount from when I had the crappy graphics, but for some reason, my aim was still lousy and I still felt uncomfortable.

Can somebody help? How can I fix this?

What's wrong with it? Is the sensitivity too high? Too low? Is it accelerated? Is it unresponsive? Difficult to know the problem without more specificity.

Also, you really shouldn't have trouble running it with a 6100 and a 470, it's nearly a decade old and was never graphically intensive in the first place. If you're getting poor performance, there's something wrong.

Team Fortress 2 was bitchy as shit on my brother's i7-2600/R9 390 rig.

It was perfectly playable on my old Phenom II 956 / 9800GT rig, even better when I stuck a 780 in there.

I notice, though, that I've only used Nvidia cards, and you two used AMD. I don't remember anything about source working poorly on AMD...

It doesn't work poorly on AMD. Left 4 Dead 2 ran just fine on both my shitty laptop and my current desktop. It's just that Team Fortress 2 is woefully unoptimized.

Well, I don't really know what to say then, 'cause the only time it's run poorly for me was on a 4600U's iGPU.

That's not my build.

Yet.
