MSI Laptop Help Installing Windows

Hello,

 

I have a MSI Ghost Pro GS60 6QE Laptop and I'm looking at cleaning it up. On the MSI Website, it is recommended to use the BurnRecovery utility, but it requires a 19GB or more USB Flash Drive. I only have a 8GB flash drive, so will it be ok for me just to create a bootable windows usb and then install all the drivers off their website?

 

Edit: Also if I do a clean install of windows by creating a bootable usb, what should I do about my product key? I don't have a product key outside my laptop and I don't feel like taking it apart to check the battery for it.

That is what I would do, MSI would probably also install some bloatware with the package.

I usually install a pirated windows 10. A clean install.

 

You dont need a legit one really.

 

I always do that when i buy something new. So that all that bloatware is gone.

most new laptop have their key stored in the motherboard, so when i did a clean windows install using usb on my gs63. It didn't ask for any key.
