Is this a cheaper replacement for the 950 Pro? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820249078&ignorebbr=1 It's better than the Intel one          Intel SSD 600p Series (512GB, M.2 2280 80mm NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4, 3D1, TLC) Reseller Single Pack               and it's only like $20 more. Is there any problems with the Plextor M8Pe M.2S?

It's an alternative to the 950 pro, yes.

I'm not aware of any issues with it, though this is also the first I've seen that SSD.

Reviews seem to point to it being a good option.

Could definitely be a good alternative but I've never even heard anything about Plextor before. Maybe we could get a review from some great youtuber. :D

Should I get it with or without the heatsink? It's like $40 more just for the heatsink idk if it's needed or not

The heatsink isn't likely needed.

So overall this SSD is the best alternative for a Samsung 950 pro?

I can't say it's the best alternative, but it is an alternative.

What is the best alternative then?

I haven't looked into M.2 NVMe SSDs enough to be able to say for sure.

All I can say is that Samsung and Intel tend to make very reliable SSDs.
