Is this a good case fan?

My case already comes with two 120mm fans; I want a third one for positive internal pressure. Here's my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JHTcRG

I heard they're loud. Go for thermaltake if you care about how loud they are.

Have you considered any fans made by Noctua?

I don't really care how loud they are. There's a certain point where I would start to care, but I mostly want a cheap, high-performance fan that will last me a while.

I have considered Noctua, I know they're very good. I'll look into them some more.

I don't care about LEDs. Not one bit. I would prefer a fan without them.

I've got a Noctua NF-F12 exhausting GPU heat on the side panel and it's fantastic.

How about this one instead?

Notcua Redux fans are based on old designs, look at the cream and brown ones or the black and brown (PPC) ones.

Case Fans are very personal, and typically little difference between fans of the same design. Get what best fits for your needs, there is no magic bullet with fans (while yes some are better than others there isn't a huge difference).

Are the old designs bad though?

It would make sense to buy ones with new technology.

Right. I picked out the redux design because it had a high CFM, about double that of the other cheap noctua fans.

Still it would make more sense to get something that is based on a newer design.

While I am not saying your wrong, a.) the advantage to the newer one is small b.) the Mainstream Noctua's look like shit c.) the IPPC are hugely overpriced

The color is not an issue for me. I happen to be one of the freak-shows who think that color scheme looks good :)

This is a bit more money than I planned to spend on a fan, but I think I'm going to go with this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608044

The main reason I'm doing this to help my stock CPU cooler as much as possible. Thank you all for your help!

Just make sure that your case supports 140mm

It does. Thank you, you could have just saved me a ton of trouble if it didn't.
